The Tornado Flyers

An afterschool club that teaches TCHS students how to fly a drone as used in photogrammetry, a form of extracting 3D information from photographs to create high-quality 3D models. They will have the opportunity to receive a certification for piloting the DJI Mini 2. And they will learn a high-demand technology that will create future job opportunities, as the use of drones becomes more widespread.

For next year we are working towards creating partnerships with local architecture offices, builders, developers, and realtors where our students can use the skills they are learning in the field; to gather site data, monitor construction progress, and create marketing materials.
